Mai 2018Jetzt ist es schon über ein Jahr zurück, das ich in Portugal in St. Lois an einem schönen Ort mit fantastischen Menschen für 15 Tage verweilen durfte. Azula ist eine Farm, ein Permakultur Zentrum, ein Projekt von 2 Familien, die sich Ihren Traum verwirklichen. Eigentlich sind es drei Familien, da neben den “Landlords” noch Lola und Kyle als Permakultur Trainer den Platz mitgestalten. Die zwei Familien – das sind Anna mit Christian und Pnina mit Alon und die Kinder.
Permakultur
PermakulturIch bin hierher gekommen um mich mit Permakultur zu beschäftigen und was mich erwartete waren 14 Tage voller Stoff, lernen, diskutieren und ausprobieren.
Permakultur als ganzheitlicher Ansatz gefällt mir bis heute und hilft mir bei meinen Projekten des genossenschaftlichen Bauens.
Die technischen Themen wurden von Paul – einem gelernten Ingenieur – und seit einigen Jahren eher Aussteiger – vermittelt.
Einfaches Leben
Einfaches Leben14 Tage Leben in der Außenküche, im Schulungszelt, mit Kompostduschen und Trocken-Trenntoiletten mit einer Gruppe von 20 fantastischen Menschen, ließen mich die Welt da draußen abschalten.
Abends wurde getanzt und gefeiert, Freunde aus der Nachbarschaft kamen zu Besuch. Gekocht hat Shlomi und alle durften mithelfen. 
Das kleine Dorf, ca 2 km und einen überfluteten Weg entfernt bot ein Cafe wo wir Bier und Wein und portugiesischen Toast genossen haben.
Ich kann mich an alle Menschen gut erinnern und “verfolge” Einige in den sozialen Medien und deren weiteren Weg. Einige sind in Portugal geblieben und verfolgen Ihren Traum einer eigenen Farm.
Für mich war ein kurzweiliger und spannender Einstieg in die Permakultur, eine schöne Zeit mit vielen guten Gesprächen und Erlebnissen.
Azula ist ein wahrer GreenDiamond! Bestimmt komme ich nochmals zurück nach Azula!

Now it’s been over a year that I spent 15 days in Portugal in St. Lois in a beautiful place with fantastic people.
Azula is a farm, a permaculture center, a project of 2 families that will make their dream come true. Actually, there are three families, as next to the “Landlords” still Lola and Kyle – as permaculture coaches – take part to shape the place. The two families – that’s Anna with Christian and Pnina with Alon and their kids.
Permaculture
I came here to study permaculture and what awaited me was 14 days full of stuff, learning, discussing and trying out.
Up to this day I like Permaculture as a holistic approach which helps me in my projects of cooperative building construction.
The technical topics were taught by Paul – a trained engineer – and for some years now searching for his way of living.
Easy Living
14 days of living in the outdoor kitchen, in the training tent, with compost showers and dry toilets with a group of 20 fantastic people, made me switch off the world out there.
In the evenings we danced and celebrated, friends from the neighborhood came to visit. Shlomi was our cook and everyone was allowed to help.
The small village, about 2 km and a flooded path away, offered a cafe where we enjoyed beer and wine and Portuguese toast.
I can well remember all people and “follow” some of them and their way forward in social media. Some have stayed in Portugal and pursue their dream of owning their own farm.
For me it was an entertaining and exciting introduction to permaculture, a great time with many good talks and experiences.
