Modern technology in the forest

I’m still in the mountains ⛰️ of Portugal. This time above the town of Lousa in the central eastern Portuguese region.
It’s a beautiful natural setting, now turning golden in autumn. There are varied forests with a wide variety of trees. Chestnuts, oaks, pines, cedars and of course the typical eucalyptus are represented.

I can have a lot of fun and challenges on my mountain bike 🚵 on the most demanding routes and very extreme inclines and declines. I am delighted that I have decided in favour of an e-MTB after all. The small battery with 360 watts is enough for 1.000 metres in altitude.
A friend lent me his mobile power station including the photovoltaic panel ☀️ that I am now trying out. Although it’s foggy and hazy in the lowlands today, the sun is shining here at 900 metres. The bike is fully charged again after two hours and the power station still has 80% power thanks to the simultaneous solar feed.

So basically it works, but the lugging around of these 18-kilo batteries 🥵 and setting up the PV modules and tracking the course of the sun is something I do because I have enough time and leisure.
