Since 2 years I am a member of the Solawi Bodensee. The different way of doing things, of making decisions and collaborating together is fascinating. The community is the central point – supporting each other on a voluntary basis with a small budget for the gardeners and a fee for the infrastructure, tools and rentals. Unbelievable how the soil was changing within 24 months from a stressed corn field to a loose soil with a certain percentage of humus. Working together on the field, in organization or in the construction team makes fun and a celebration with a good meal is a good compensation. Every week on Friday the harvest shows the good results of our handwork. Organic farming – less usage of machines – harvesting what the field is giving, gets me closer to earth. By the way it is a good training for the body avoiding working out at the gym. Beside the field work, seminars were given e.g. in permaculture, social work with refugees were done and further plans were developed. After two years the Solawi Bodensee is well established in the region, the amount of members is stable. The community is well considered as a discussion partner in the social live and even in the local politics. The major of Friedrichshafen is supportive and local companies donate for the Solawi projects.
Well done people of Solawi! I am happy to be part of this moving agile network and pleased to offer you the first green diamond.

“Together with our Association for Solidarity Agriculture on Lake Constance, in short Solawi Bodensee e.V., we jointly cultivate vegetables with organic farming and permaculture. In the process, the members finance joint operations, actively participate and share the harvest. Our aim is again to develop a personal connection and a social connection to food production and distribution and thus more food sovereignty. A consistent ecological cultivation, seasonality, seed-fixed varieties, short distances, sociocratic self-administration and educational offers are only some of the characteristics of the project. In doing so, we pursue a common-interest and sustainable economy. Club life creates a nature-loving and varied program with the action days, celebrations, meetings and educational offers, which strengthens the familiar interaction in the community and enables families to have common activities.” [Source Start page Solawi Bodensee 21.1.2018]
